2022–23 Annual Report

We are excited to announce the 2022­–23 Annual Report for the Public Guardian and Trustee was tabled in the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly on 28 November 2023.

Key highlights of 2022­–23 include:

• Overview of Guardianship in the Northern Territory, through statistics, analysis and case studies of the core work undertaken by the Public Guardian and Trustee.
• Advocacy efforts undertaken at local and national levels to ensure the human rights of Territorians with impaired decision-making capacity are protected, promoted and respected.
• Initiatives and projects undertaken to address audit recommendations and implement systemic improvements.

Without the hard work and dedication of my team and the collaborative efforts of key stakeholders and community groups, these achievements would not have been possible.
