What are the adult guardianship principles and how do they guide decision-making?
The guardianship principles are set out in the Guardianship of Adults Act 2016 to provide a framework for guardians to make decisions. These principles apply to everyone using their authority under the Guardianship Act, including private guardians, the Public Guardian, the Public Trustee and the Northern Territory Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
