Book a Will appointment

The Public Trustee can:

  • make a new Will for eligible people
  • update an existing Will drafted by the Public Trustee.

To make a Will you must be at least 18 years old and have decision-making capacity to make a Will.

To book a Will appointment with the Public Guardian and Trustee, make an online booking.

The online booking form can also be used to make an appointment to update a Will prepared by the Public Guardian and Trustee.

Once the appointment is booked, fill in the Information for a Will Appointment form DOCX (733.6 KB). This information needs to be brought to the Will appointment.

Before your appointment, it is important to think about:

  • who you want to list as your beneficiaries
  • who you want to appoint as executor/s
  • who you want to appoint as guardian for minor children
  • any specific gifts
  • location of digital assets
  • your funeral wishes.

You will need to bring the following to your appointment:

  • Proof of identity
    • NT Drivers licence, or
    • Passport, or
  • Pension or concession card
  • Previous Will.
