2024-25 Annual Reports

We are pleased to announce that the 2024–25 Annual Report of the Public Guardian and Trustee and the 2024-25 Annual Report of the Public Trustee for the Northern Territory are now available on our website.

These reports provide key insights and achievements including:

• A detailed overview of guardianship and trustee services in the Northern Territory, supported by statistics, analysis and case studies of the core work undertaken by the Public Guardian and Trustee.
• Advocacy efforts at local and national levels to protect, promote, and respect the human rights of Territorians with impaired decision-making capacity.
• Initiatives and projects undertaken to address audit recommendations and drive systemic improvements.
• Implementation of the Health Care Decision Making Act 2023 and its impact in the first year of operation.
• Redevelopment of the Public Guardian and Trustee website to enhance accessibility, information, and functionality.
