Celebrating Human Rights Day: PGT’s Commitment to Advocacy and Support

On 10 December 2025, we observe Human Rights Day, reflecting on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), which enshrines the rights every person is entitled to. At PGT, human rights are at the heart of our work as we advocate for and support Represented Persons and the wider community in the Northern Territory.

The PGT are dedicated to ensuring all Territorians, particularly those facing vulnerability, have access to their fundamental rights. Whether supporting individuals with brain injuries, dementia, or other challenges, we work to empower them to live fulfilling lives and fully participate in their communities.

This year’s theme, ‘Our Rights, Our Responsibilities’ aims to empower individuals and institutions to uphold human rights in everyday life and inspire action that strengthens our human rights culture. On Human Rights Day, PGT reaffirms our commitment to advocating for the dignity and rights of every person we represent.
