Celebrating International Day of People with Disability
Supporting People with Disability: International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD)
At Public Guardian and Trustee (PGT), we are committed to supporting individuals with disability and advocating for their rights every day. As we approach International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) on 3 December 2025, we take a moment to reflect on the importance of this day, which aims to raise awareness and promote a more inclusive society.
This global observance encourages us to remove the physical, technological, and attitudinal barriers that prevent many people from fully participating in society. At PGT, this aligns closely with our mission, as many of the clients we support face these very barriers. We are dedicated to ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are upheld.
The theme for this year’s IDPwD focuses on fostering inclusivity and encouraging us all to think about how we can contribute to a society that embraces everyone, regardless of ability. We strive to incorporate these ideals into our daily work, supporting individuals with disability throughout the year, not just on 3 December.
We encourage all of the NT community to join us in recognising and celebrating IDPwD. Together, we can continue making a positive impact and build a more accessible world for everyone.
