Holiday Office Hours

Alice Springs

The Alice Springs office of the Public Guardian and Trustee (PGT) will be closed to the public from Monday 22 December 2025 while the office is being relocated. People who would normally attend the Alice Springs office are asked to contact PGT by phone or email for assistance during this time.

Further information about the new location of the Alice Springs office and reopening arrangements will be published on our website in the New Year.

Darwin

The Darwin office will be closed to the public from Thursday 25 December 2025 as part of the Christmas and New Year period and will reopen for business as usual on Monday 5 January 2026.

Limited services available

During the Christmas and New Year period, a Trust Officer, for financial decisions, and a Guardianship Officer, for personal guardianship matters, will be available by phone or email from 8am – 4:21pm on the following days:

• Monday 29 December 2025
• Tuesday 30 December 2025
• Wednesday 31 December 2025
• Friday 2 January 2026

Urgent decisions

For urgent decisions throughout the office closure period, a Guardianship Officer will be available by phone until 10pm daily.
