What are your obligations as a guardian managing personal and financial matters?
As an appointed guardian who is managing personal and financial matters for a represented adult, it is important that your decisions are timely, and that you act as an advocate for the adult in these matters.
The Northern Territory Civil and Administrative Tribunal will give you a copy of the order as proof of your authority to make certain decisions. When you talk to service providers or attend meetings for the adult, it is helpful if you take this order with you.
