Inclusive learning and connection events in November

The Public Guardian and Trustee is encouraging private guardians to share two free upcoming events hosted by Inclusion NT, designed to support people with intellectual disabilities to build confidence, connection, and practical life skills.

1. My Boundaries Workshop – Wednesday 5 November, 9:30–11:30 am

This interactive session helps participants learn and practise healthy personal boundaries through fun, everyday examples. It’s a great opportunity for people under guardianship to strengthen their understanding of privacy, consent, and self-advocacy in a supportive environment.

2. Bingo Peer Action Group – Thursday 20 November, 1:00–3:00 pm

This relaxed afternoon session invites people with intellectual disabilities to learn about their rights, build confidence, and connect with others. It’s also a great way to encourage self-expression and community participation in a fun and inclusive setting.

Workshops like these can help the people you support gain skills in communication, choice-making, and personal safety. Guardians are encouraged to promote attendance or assist with transport arrangements where possible.
